Medications such as anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs and beta-blockers for the physical symptoms can be very helpful with social anxiety. It is also important to realize that these medications will not cure social anxiety, but help to lessen your anxiety while you are undergoing therapy. A trained therapist will recommend what he feels will work best for you based on your needs.
