Paxil has been successfully used in the treatment of social anxiety, premenstrual dysphoric disorder and depression. It's important that you realize that although these symptoms may sound like they are all in your head, they are very real and can affect your life drastically. For patients with social anxiety, Paxil can be safely taken without this occurring.
Social anxiety is the most common of all anxieties and because it affects many individuals, other treatment may be recommended. Many therapist prescribe cognitive-behavior therapy for social anxiety, Paxil and counseling, either individual or group.
